Description
While the indirect method begins with a carefully studied drawing and progresses to painting, the direct or "alla prima" method begins with painting; the artist composes and completes the painting directly on the canvas, often in one sitting.Practice in alla prima painting is a great learning exercise for artists of all skill levels. Students will complete a lovely still life study in a weekend.
Price includes a prepared panel for painting, and most basic supplies. Students provide their own brushes and paints. $280 • $265 for NUMU Members-- Tickets available on our website
