Description
Nova Vista celebrates a new year and a new decade with Old World baroque and New World romanticism in its second concert of its 2009-2010 season. Handel’s Concerto Grosso features members of the orchestra in ensemble against the background of string orchestra. Tschaikovsky’s poignant Romeo and Juliet Fantasy Overture and Dvorak’s sweeping symphonic tribute to the new world of America, as he experienced it in the late 1800’s, are both popular and familiar works.
