Description
As the newest production from the Teatro Antico Taormina, Italy, Norma is an opera that should not be missed by opera enthusiast.This opera is about a high priestess who desires a Roman soldier, despite her duty. She must come to terms with herself, and decide of it is worth it to throw her duty away for the sake of love.
This opera is considered to be Vincenzo Bellini’s magnum opus, and it is apparent why people say so. The opera has beautiful flowing mellodies, with the a bel canto operatic style.
Starring Chiara Taigi, Gregory Kunde, Irina Lungu and Giacomo Prestia.
