Description
Shadowbrook Restaurant hosts an evening of live music with NoNette, a husband and wife jazz/pop duo featuring Laura Partch on vocals and Scott Freshour on upright bass. Laura was raised in a musical family and has been singing throughout her life, even singing on a lullaby album entitled Desert Silver Blue. Scott was an accomplished electric bass player for 40 years before exploring gypsy jazz and switching to upright bass, which of course lent itself well to Laura's vocals. The duo's repertoire includes jazz and pop tunes from the 1930s and 1940s, as well as selections from a variety of more contemporary genres.
