Description
A lot of rappers struggle just to get passersby to take free copies of their latest mixtape. Not Nipsey Hussle. With his eighth official release, Crenshaw, the Southside L.A. emcee believed he had something people would be willing to pay top dollar for. He made 1,000 limited edition Crenshaw CDs, which he sold for $100 each. His bet paid off. Hussle sold out of his initial pressing. In a show of support, Jay-Z bought 100 of copies for himself. The SoCal spitter is still on his grind and coming to town with a brand new single, "Ocean Views"-a track about paying dues and achieving one's dreams.
