Description

SA STAGE CO presents Next to Normal, a contemporary rock musical about a woman’s struggle with mental illness and the effects of her illness on her family. Starting Arts is very excited to present our first professional musical, which stars members of our staff as well as our students. We hope to produce one professional “crossover” musical a year that allows our extremely talents students the opportunity to perform alongside our extraordinary teaching artists in a professional setting.

Next to Normal was written by Brian Yorkey and Tom Kitts and is the winner of three Tony Awards plus the 2010 Pulitzer Prize for Drama. The story is dark and complicated and does have some graphic material and adult language so parent discretion is advised. We do not recommend that children under the age of thirteen attend this event unless accompanied by their parent.

Next to Normal opens Thursday June 26th and runs through July 6th:
