On New Year's Eve, Tuesday, December 31, District Oakland in Oakland will have two seatings, 5:30 to 6:15 PM and 7:30 to 8:15 PM, each with a $75.00 five-course prix fixe menu served. An optional wine pairing will be offered for an additional $30.00. Main course choices will be Petrale Sole with butter poached lobster, lobster saffron gnocchi and melted leeks or Sliced Beef Tenderloin with red wine braised short ribs, Frenched potatoes and roasted field onion. Reservations can be made on OpenTable.com beginning on December 9. At 10:00 PM, the countdown party begins ($20.00 cover charge/second seating dinner guests admitted at no charge) with DJ entertainment and a complimentary sparkling wine cocktail upon entry.
