Meet other new students and get answers to your questions by attending Foothill College New Student Orientation Wednesday, Sept. 16, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Meet at the Smithwick Theatre at the Foothill campus in Los Altos Hills. Admission is free when you sign up in advance at foothill.edu/nso.

Learn about campus life programs and student services, including financial aid options, university transfer information and student activities. You'll also have the opportunity to get your student ID card, take a campus tour and purchase your textbooks. Orientation also features a student success panel discussion and guided campus tours.

Complimentary morning snacks and lunch will be served. Admission and parking in Lot 1 are free. Orientation is presented by the Foothill College Student Activities Office and the Associated Students of Foothill College (ASFC). If you require accommodations for a disability, call (650) 949-7038. Parent Orientation, Too
Foothill College hosts Parent Orientation Wednesday, Sept. 16, at 6 p.m. in the Campus Center Dining Room (Room 2201) at the campus in Los Altos Hills. Parents and students are invited to attend. Admission and parking are free.

The event gives parents and guardians of college students the opportunity to meet Foothill faculty, counselors, administrators, staff and students; learn about strategies to help your college student succeed; learn about student rights and responsibilities; and hear about the numerous programs and services available to Foothill students.

In addition to answering your questions, faculty and staff will give brief presentations on university transfer and the transfer process, financial aid opportunities, academic counseling, academic integrity, federal privacy laws, adaptive learning resources and procedures for requesting accommodation services, parenting courses, and college resources that support student success.
