Description

An inspiring new American landscape is taking shape at the Golden Gate. As an elevated freeway is replaced by an at-grade tunnel, ten acres of brand new public parklands will connect the beautiful waterfront and the heart of the Presidio.

But what will this landscape look like and what kinds of experiences do you want to have there?

This is your opportunity to work directly with James Corner Field Operations – the team behind the High Line in New York City – to participate in the design process and to imagine programs, events, and activities that will directly impact site design.

You will be an ACTIVE participant in one of seven themed workgroups:

• Nature and Ecology
• Scenery
• Community and Events
• History and Service
• Health and Fitness
• Interaction and Play
• General Topics

Participants in each workgroup will have an opportunity to share ideas and preferences, provide direct feedback to the design team, learn from others, and earn a place in history as a participant in the design of this magnificent new landscape.

Space is limited to 100 participants per session and reservations are required.

Choose from one of two sessions.
• Morning Session: 10:00 – 11:50 am
• Afternoon Session: 12:10 – 2:00 pm
