Description
Four landscape painters present work that takes risks with color, form, mark-making, and subject matter. Betsy Kendall, Bruce Klein, Receba Garcia-Gonzalez, and Karen Zullo Sherr paint East Bay locations outdoors, from life, and bring a fresh, modern approach to a traditional art form. The show is curated by Sue Steel.New Places can be seen at the Firehouse North Gallery, 1790 Shattuck, Berkeley, where it runs from January 9 to January 31, 2012. Gallery hours are Thursday-Sunday, 2-7 PM. The opening reception, January 13, is from 7-9 PM and will feature refreshments and live entertainment.
