Description

ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

The Silicon Valley Neighborhood Development Training Conference (SV-NDTC) is an annual event that is attended by over 400 neighborhood local neighborhood residents. This unique training opportunity invites resident service coordinators, neighborhood leaders as well as seasoned community development practitioners to participate in workshops focused on public safety, health, and neighborhood improvement. In addition to engaging in thought-provoking workshops, participants also listen to distinguished speakers. This year's luncheon keynote speaker will be Dr. Manuel Pastor, Professor of Sociology and American Studies and Ethnicity at the University of Southern California who will talk about the demographic changes rippling through California, the nation, and the Valley, and consider how these intersect with economic trends that have produced both poles of prosperity and issues of inequality.
