Description
In a stunning, edge-of-your-seat production, Antonio Salieri (played by Lucian Msamati) faces off against his young rival, his own orchestra and God himself. Simulcast live, in high definition, from the National Theatre, director Peter Schaffer places the Southbank Sinfonia within the florid and dramatic performance. A naive and unruly Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart travels to Vienna to make his mark in the music capital of the world, only to encounter a potent and envious Salieri. When a deal with God goes awry, Salieri dives into a disposition of anguish and betrayal. (VS)
