Description

Conductor Michel Singher conducts Espressivo in its inaugural performance at the new, state of the art, Performing Arts Center located in Felton, California on the San Lorenzo Valley High School campus.

Michel Singher spent the first ten years of his career conducting in German opera houses. Moving to the United States, he conducted for many opera companies from Alaska to Florida. He has also led many orchestras, including the Berlin Radio Symphony, Seattle Symphony Orchestra, and the Oberlin Orchestra in a performance at Lincoln Center. Michel currently calls Felton home with his wife, abstract painter Elizabeth Kaminski, and Murphy, the spaniel.

Michel Singher will be joined on stage by Espressivo -- a small, intense orchestra comprising 17 musicians whose current and prior affiliations include orchestras from San Francisco and Baltimore to Belgium and Israel.

This performance is a benefit for San Lorenzo Valley schools.

Program:
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Contradances, K. 609
Jacques Ibert, Capriccio
Richard Wagner, Siegfried Idyll
Paul Hindemith, Kammermusik Nr. 1, Op. 24
