Description
On Sunday, October 26, at 3:00pm, the San Jose Wind Symphony will present "Music from the Written Word" featuring music inspired by classic works of fiction and fact: books, plays and even newspapers. Among them are Franco Cesarini's Huckleberry Finn Suite with narrator Walter Mayes, W. Francis McBeth's Of Sailors and Whales, and Johan de Meij's Symphony No. 1, The Lord of the Rings. The concert will be at McAfee Center, 20300 Herriman Ave. in Saratoga. Tickets are $5 for students, $15 for seniors and $20 for general admission.
