Brahms’s Violin Concerto demands both virtuosic fireworks and profound romantic expression. Anne-Sophie Mutter who The Times of London calls “The undisputed queen of violin playing” performs February 26-28. Her protégé, Ye-Eun Choi, recipient of the 2013 European Culture Award for New Artists, takes the stage March 1. Michael Tilson Thomas pairs Brahms’s concerto with Schumann’s First Symphony and J.L.
