On Mother's Day, Sunday, May 8, LB Steak on Santana Row in San Jose will be open from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM serving a la carte brunch items, the regular a la carte lunch menu (both until 3:00 PM) and the regular a la carte dinner menu (after 3:00 PM), plus, all day, a $60.00 three-course prix fixe menu. Brunch selections will include Mimosa and Bloody Mary cocktails and warm housemade Scones and Jam with whipped butter and chocolate sauce; Smoked Salmon Benedict with crispy potato cakes, poached eggs, capers, red onions, hollandaise sauce and seasonal fruit; Lobster Omelette with Maine lobster, braised leeks and hash browns; Vanilla Bean French Toast with apple compote, candied walnuts, Chantilly cream and Vermont maple syrup; and Prime New York Steak (6 or 12 oz. cut) and Sunnyside Eggs with hash browns. The prix fixe menu will include a Spring Farmer’s Market Vegetable Mosaic with Early Girl tomato vinaigrette and an herb garden petit salad or Dungeness Crab Cake with Calypso Sauce and a tricolor beet salad; Prime Natural 6 oz. Filet of Beef with a light merlot sauce, grilled Delta asparagus and Yukon Gold potato gratin or Pan Seared Natural Georges Bank Jumbo Day Boat Scallops with sweet orange and carrot mousse, and an avocado and mango salsa (to any of dish, add grilled South African lobster tail for an additional charge); and Mom’s Favorite Red Fruit Macaroon with a pistachio almond macaroon, Hawaiian vanilla custard cream and organic raspberries. All prices exclude beverages, tax and gratuity.
