Description
"Train Days and Ohlone Day have been terrific hits," says Nomi Trapnell, president of the Museum board. "So we expanded our community programming this year to add Moonfest--a multi-cultural moon-watching/harvest festival common across Asia." This 3-hour daytime event will feature story-telling, food-tasting, entertainment and crafts. "Kids will learn how the holiday is celebrated in various countries, and how to make a lantern," adds Museum board member Eleanor Watanabe. "This year is an especially good one for 'super-moons' – so they will have their lanterns ready for the big holiday on Monday." (September 8).
