The Monterey Museum of Art is proud to present their newest exhibition, Monterey Now: David Ligare. David Ligare is considered to be one of California's preeminent contemporary realist painters whose works are recognized for their delicate luminescence and heightened attention to detail in his depictions of nature. This exhibition focuses on David's large-scale panoramic work depicting three of Monterey's geographical highlights: its major river, mountain, and the ocean. Created especially for this exhibition, these works will be displayed in a contemplative setting to showcase their historical and cultural significance, as well as to emphasize their spiritual impact.
