Description

"Modesto Covarrubias: Liminal" is an immersive sculptural installation by San Jose native Modesto Covarrubias, on view at the ICA from April 10 to July 3. An opening reception for the exhibition will be held on Thursday, June 10 from 6pm to 8pm.

The installation explores ideas related to shelter, memories and imagined space. Covarrubias’ multi-media pieces are constructed primarily from paper attached or hung from a room–sized armature made from an array of materials.
