Wherever she plays, pianist Mizuka Kano, the 1st Prize Winner of the Robert Schumann International Competition 2008 in Zwickau (Germany) and the 2nd Prize Winner of the Rachmaninoff International Piano Competition in Pasadena 2002, wins the hearts of her audiences with her colorful and expressive command of the instrument. Based in Berlin since autumn 2003, has received degrees from University of Arts Berlin, where she studied with Klaus Hellwig. She gives constantly solo recitals and chamber music concerts in many European countries, Japan and the USA. Mizuka is also active as a concerto soloist, and has performed with the Moscow Radio Symphony Orchestra, Sinfonica di San Remo, the Munich Chamber Orchestra and the North German Philharmonic Orchestra. The Program is dedicated to Debussy, who celebrates his 150th birthday anniversary, and Schumann, who is one of her most favorite composers.
