Mixed Dream Collectives: Opening Reception for Tree Rivera

Please join us in welcoming Tree Rivera and her newest exhibition, Mixed Dreams, to 1192 Folsom St.

STATEMENT:

My mission: as a visual artist is to focus on developing environmental art projects that encouragepositive environmentalism and awareness in young people and throughout their neighborhoods. I’ve found that art is a solution and can be used as a creative instrument for expanding our perceptionsand knowledge about our ecological changes.

My vision: is to produce large scale recycled art installations & photography projects that intensify the environmental arts genre and support a culture of young environmentalist.

I'll have pieces displayed from different phases of the Make Art Matter, Sheets and The CUUP Project series. I'm also working on some new pieces right now which should be done around this time for hanging. Also, I’m really excited to be working with the curator to hang the artwork.

Housepitality will be providing us with the evenings musical entertainment:
