Description

We live in a culture that demands more from us at a faster pace than ever, encouraging stimulant use from energy drinks and caffeine to snorting lines. Guys use drugs like meth, coke and crack not only to enhance sex, but also for reasons like self-medicating depression, meeting impossible work deadlines, losing weight, and alleviating HIV- related fatigue. Beyond these immediate benefits, what are the effects of long-term use? Is there any truth to rumors that meth boosts T-cell counts, cocaine use is on the rise triggering fears of another crack epidemic, or that new experimental drugs can cure addiction? Presented by SNAP of The SF LGBT Center, and the Center for Gender Equity of UCSF.
