Description
Art and science unite for a special edition of NightLife, curated by California College of the Arts.Explore over a dozen industrial, interaction, illustration, fashion, furniture and graphic designers from CCA as they showcase a transformative array of work, highlighting new technologies and innovative ideas that explore the concept of metamorphosis.
From giant interactive puzzles and short performance pieces documenting bizarre animal behaviors, to movement-based music and large-scale projections.
Plus, get immersed in the soundscapes of multimedia guitarist Christopher Willits in the Coral Reef.
Learn about celestial transformations in space during a special live presentation at 6:30 pm in the planetarium, then witness the creative and destructive impacts that shape our planet with two showings of Cosmic Collisions.
At the Project Lab, chat with scientific illustrator and Academy researcher Rachel Diaz-Bastin and discover how metamorphosis takes shape in butterflies, snakes and octopuses.
