Joan Huang Along the River During the Qing Ming Festival
Melody of China will present a concert celebrating contemporary works for Chinese chamber ensemble. The program will feature a special performance of the recently commissioned Joan Huang work Along the River During the Qingming Festival featuring Melody of China with guests Earplay ensemble. Also featured will be a world premiere for Chinese sextet by young composer Eric Myers. The program will include several works by 20th Century Chinese composers celebrating China's rich cultural legacy.
