The Medical Marijuana Physician Evaluations Medical Clinic provides Medical Marijuana Evaluations for qualified patients under California Proposition 215, also know as the California Compassionate Use Act of 1996 Health and Safety Code Section 11362.5

The Medical Marijuana Physician Evaluations MedicalClinic (M.M.P.E.) is available by appointment only. The office is open Monday-Friday for making appointments by phone and patients are generally seen Tuesday through Saturday. The Office is closed on Sundays.

You must call to schedule an appointment to see Dr. R. Stephen Ellis, MD. We are not a referral service for medical marijuana doctors in your area. We are one doctors office and only see patients in our San Francisco office. A Prop. 215 recommendation written from our office is good anywhere in the State of California.

Initial Patient Physical Exam and Evaluation with Dr. Ellis is $250.00 total if you qualify and a recommendation is issued; this New Patient fee is reduced for Veterans, Transfer Patients from other MMJ Doctors who wish to 'do it right' and start over with our practice, and persons facing financial hardship.  Once a patient has seen Dr. Ellis as a New Patient, subsequent renewals as established patients are just $135 per year.
