Join us for two half-day Saturday workshops where you'll network with other professionals who share your passion for proofreading. Together we'll review on-the-job and freelance workflows, standard proofreading practices (markup, querying,print and online submission, etc.), finding - and keeping - clients, and much more.

Upon completion participants receive Media Alliance certification, adding that essential extra boost to your resume for tackling today's challenging economy.

Proofreading is also the first class in the Certified Editor sequence. So if you plan to train in copy editing, this is a workshop you need to take.

Instructor: Veteran Media Alliance instructor Jim Norrena brings to the table more than 20 years of professional editing experience in both corporate and independent book publishing. He is the current web editor / content manager for California College of the Arts, serves on the executive committee of Bay Area Editors Forum, and is the principal of TypoSuction, an independent editorial service provider.
