Description

Mattilda Bernstein Sycamore, infamous radical queer troublemaker, returns to the Bay Area and reads at City Lights on Tuesday, April 30th and at the GLBT Museum on Thursday, May 9th from her new memoir The End of San Francisco. The author is available for interview. Read a new Q&A with Mattilda on the Huffington Post and listen to an interview where Mattilda discusses why she's against the pursuit of gay marriage rights on NPR's "Tell Me More."

Justin Torres, author of We the Animals, says of The End of San Francisco: "Mattilda is a dazzling writer of uncommon truths, a challenging writer who refuses to conform to conventionality. Her agitation is an inspiration." Kirkus Reviews reports, "A blisteringly honest portrait of a young, fast and greatly misunderstood life."
