Thursday, October 30, 2008, 7:30pm, Golden Gate Opera presents an exclusive ONE NIGHT ONLY performance of Mascagni's CAVALLERIA RUSTICANA & Leoncavallo's I PAGLIACCI at Marin Center’s Marin Veterans’ Memorial Auditorium, 10 Avenue of the Flags, San Rafael, CA. Soprano Olga Chernisheva stars as both Santuzza and Nedda with the Sofia Symphony Orchestra and Chorus. An international cast features baritone Theodore Lambrinos of the Metropolitan Opera as Alfio and Tonio, Tenor Orlin Goranov as Turridu, Tenor Michael Hayes as Canio, Baritone Plamen Dimitrov as Silvio and Soprano Snejana Dramcheva as Lola. This Italian Opera Double-Header of Infidelity, Lust and Revenge is a production of Teatro Lirico d’Europa and is sponsored in part by the Marin Independent Journal and the Marin County Board of Supervisors.
