Description
One of the strongest exports of the ‘70s Southern rock scene was the Marshall Tucker Band, a group whose music was gritty enough to lend itself to a night of beer-swilling at the local watering hole, and mellow enough to help ease the pain of the following morning. The group’s debut album in 1973 featured the ballad “Can’t You See”, a song that continues to permeate the classic rock radio waves with well-deserved regularity. Other memorable classics include 1973’s “Take the Highway” and 1977’s “I Heard It in a Love Song”. Though original guitarist Toy Caldwell died in 1993, the Marshall Tucker Band continues to bring its rollicking blend of rock, country, and jazz to audiences country wide.
