Marin Music Chest 2014 Scholarship Winners ConcertFree and open to the public, the annual Marin Music Chest "Scholarship Winners Concert" features solo musical performances by young Marin County classical musicians honored with 2014 Marin Music Chest Scholarship awards.
Marin Music Chest 2014 award winners are Matthew Lee (piano), Kuni Migimatsu (piano), James Zhao (piano), all of San Rafael; Sean Oliver (cello), Max Smiley (violin) and Benjamin Wall-Feng (piano) all of Mill Valley; Laura Arthur (soprano) and Chener "Cherry" Yuan (violin), both of Novato; Jeremy Goldwasser (flute) and William Stark (piano), both of Tiburon; Ilise Angel (flute) of San Anselmo; Jee Young Bhan (clarinet) of Larkspur; Hallie Jo Gist (flute) of Greenbrae; and Karl Tietze (bassoon) of Corte Madera.
Since 1943, Marin Music Chest has been dedicated to fostering a greater interest and appreciation of classical music and has supported young classical musicians living in Marin County with annual scholarship awards and concert performance opportunities.
