Two-time Grammy Award-winner Marcus Miller has been the composer/producer of eight critically acclaimed and genre-defying solo albums, each of which showcases his astounding and singular technique as a gifted and eclectic electric bassists. On his ninth and latest CD, Marcus, he continues to work his one-of-a-kind magic. As a producer, writer, and player, Miller was the last primary collaborator of Miles Davis, contributing the composition "Tutu" to the jazz canon. His partnership with Luther Vandross yielded dozens of R&B million-sellers; he produced seven David Sanborn albums, creating an often-copied blueprint for the coolest of contemporary jazz sounds. And to see Marcus Miller and his virtuosic band live is a truly unforgettable experience. Joining Marcus (bass, bass clarinet, vocals) for his Yoshi’s San Francisco engagement will be Keith Anderson (saxophone), Poogie Bell (drums), Gregoire Maret (harmonica), Bobby Sparks (keyboards), and Patches Stewart (trumpet).
