Come celebrate MAKE magazine's 17th Maker Faire and ninth anniversary in the Bay Area, showcasing creative and resourceful people in the areas of science and technology, engineering, food, and arts and crafts. Maker Faire is a two-day family friendly Faire where people show what they are MAKING and share what they are LEARNING with a showcase of INVENTION, CREATIVITY & RESOURCEFULNESS. Gather with tech enthusiasts, crafters, educators, tinkerers, hobbyists, farmers, engineers, science clubs, authors, artists, students, and commercial exhibitors to share, explore and collaborate with what you’ve seen and learned at this all-enco4mpassing fair!The inaugural Maker Faire was held in San Mateo, CA in 2006. Maker Faire Bay Area celebrated its seventh annual Bay Area event in 2012 with some 110,000 people in attendance. As Maker Faire has grown in popularity and relevance, additional flagship Faires have been launched in 2010 in both Detroit and New York City. Community-driven, independently produced Mini Maker Faire events (inspired by Maker Faire) are now being produced both in United States throughout World.
