Description
Andrew Ritchie, cycling historian and former Missing Link member, will be discussing his books, Major Taylor: The Fastest Bicycle Rider in the World, and Quest for Speed: A History of Early Bicycle Racing 1868-1903.Andrew will be in the store from 4 pm to 6 pm to visit and talk with people. At 6:30, there will be a slideshow and refreshments.
Signed copies of both books are available for purchase at a special reduced price in the store, and Andrew will be happy to add a dedication if you like!
Major Taylor broke many records in his remarkable career, and overcame racial discrimination to become the first African-American athlete to achieve the level of world champion.
