PRODUCER, BASSIST, DJ- el diablo comes from San Francisco's acclaimed Dhamaal Soundsystem (www.dhamaalsf.com), The group's Worldly, South Asian-infused electronic sound immediately garnered international attention with their 2004 self-titled debut album. While the album sold several thousand copies in the US and abroad, the singles, subsequent Ep and remixes earned consistent airplay on the BBC, as well as licensing for various features.El diablo's production/engineering work with Joshua Meltzer and Sukhawat Ali-Khan of Dhamaal also helped to win them the top prize in the John Lennon Songwriting contest world music category, for the song, "Where We Meet".
In addition to sharing the stage with countless major international electronic acts such as KARSH KALE, Cheb I Sabbah, State of Bengal, Bobby Friction and Asian Dub Foundation, el diablo has appeared in numerous album credits. Most recently, Superhuman Music, with Flesh O.N.E. and The Colonel MC on Chicago's Audio8 record label(www.audio8.com).
Currently, el diablo is working yet again on an album release showcasing the inventor of the scratch guitar, The Genie. The album is due out in summer 2008.
El diablo can be seen performing to capacity crowds at Mal Label Music's monthly showcases of Glitch/Grime/Dubstep Heavy-Bass dj's and emcees at Club Six in San Francisco, as well as various venues/events in SF, NY, LA.
