LUNAFEST: San Jose 2017 features nine award-winning short films by, for, and about women. For a full list of the film go to http://www.lunafest.org. The evening includes delicious food and drink. Standard seating is included with all tickets, but as in past years, luxury Living Room seating will be auctioned to the highest bidder.

LUNAFEST San Jose 2017 continues to honor Lani Luthard, a longtime member of San Jose Woman's Club and local cancer prevention activist. Lani first hosted LUNAFEST at her home in 2009 and at the SJWC beginning in 2011 because of its success. This year the SJWC is hosting the event in honor of Lani.

SJWC Member and Santa Clara County Supervisor Cindy Chavez is our emcee for the evening. Representatives from the Breast Cancer Fund, along with Dr. Mindy Pelez of Family Life Chiropractic and Amy Rueda, founder of Authentic Skin Remedies will speak before the films are shown and offer helpful takeaways for how you can make simple changes in your daily life to prevent cancer.

All proceeds from LUNAFEST San Jose 2017, including the boutique, raffle and auctions, will benefit the Breast Cancer Fund, Sempervirens Fund - Lani Luthard Memorial Grove, and the SJWC Charitable Giving Program, which funds local charities including San Jose Day Nursery and Next Door Solutions. Last year, we generated more than $15K in honor of Lani. Just think what that number could be if each of you came this year and brought a friend!
