Louis Hayes' Cannonball Adderley Legacy Band comes to Kuumbwa to pay tribute to the music of the legendary Cannonball Adderley Quintet, one of the most popular jazz groups of the 1960's and early 1970's. Cannonball's quintet was that rare jazz ensemble to cross over into pop music territory with a hit single, "Mercy, Mercy, Mercy," and has an influence that is still felt today. The current Cannonball Legacy Band line up features the talents of Vincent Herring on alto saxophone, and Jeremy Pelt on trumpet, Rick Germanson, on piano, and Dezron Douglas on bass.
