Lost in the Sun Benefit Concert

A night of art, music, and film, featuring The Greening and Sunrunners, with proceeds going to the Bay Area produced feature film Lost in the Sun and the local nonprofit, UniversalGiving.

The feature film Lost in the Sun, currently in pre-production, already has bands signed to the film. Sunrunners, The Greening, & DJ M8 are local to the Bay Area and have agreed to play at a concert that we hope will help raise awareness of our film, our Indiegogo campaign and the local charity UniversalGiving. This concert is a collaboration between many local businesses and will be held at the popular music venue, DNA Lounge.

As film companies, Crux Jinx Productions and Burning Wheel Productions have always had an eye on social well being and enriching those around us. This mindset combined with the idea of wanting to encourage other filmmakers around the Bay to raise their own bars as filmmakers, led Crux Jinx to create and sponsor a Bay Area Film Mixer with the goal of bringing the independent film market together so we all have a stronger community.

For this film, we are doing it again! We have partnered with UniversalGiving to help raise funds for their incredible foundation. At the concert we will be raffling off film-inspired prizes from other local businesses and the proceeds of that raffle will go directly to Universal Giving.

This truly will be an event where you see local businesses helping other local businesses while helping to promote the local film and music scene.

About the film:

Lost in the Sun is a coming-of-age story about Dawn, a Napa Valley teen fresh off her high school graduation and about to set out for college. Days from starting her new life away from her rural upbringing, she gets an odd text from her estranged sister, who stole from the family years before and vanished into San Francisco. Not ready to write her older sister off, Dawn sets out for San Francisco, determined to bring her sister back from exile and the family back together again. But in a city bigger, stranger than anything she's ever experienced, she finds something beyond her sheltered imagination: her sister is involved with a cult of sungazers who've found a darker side to the sun, and intend to use it.
