Environmental Forum of Marin Lecture Series 2015: Changes, Challenges and Choices

Drought and Development

Local Water Use and Re-Use

This lecture is about water use and conservation and follows the lecture on water supply and policy.

Our lecturers and panelists are leading practitioners in their respective fields. Speakers will describe how the watersheds of Marin Municipal Water District (MMWD) are managed for domestic water supply and fisheries, how MMWD works with the public and landscaping professionals to educate and show how historic rainfall patterns, water infrastructure, and building standards affect the way we use and misuse water and how we can conserve water. Finally, our panelists will discuss the technologies and methods available to conserve water, in particular drinking water.

Come join us on Saturday January 24th to learn more about the various facets of using, re-using and conserving water in Marin.
