Description
Lilofee buzzes, glitters, glowers, and breathes an electric seduction. No surprise that front-couple Rob Easson and Kimi Recor are engaged in "one of the grandest musical love affairs," transcending national and international boundaries.The San Francisco duo met through friends in 2007 and connected around their mutual interest in dark pop, industrial music, and the Beatles. "The first time we played music together, we didn't leave the studio for 15 hours."
Recor's inspirations are folkloric, "I have a hard time writing anything that isn't fairy tales or poetry." While black unicorns and Expressionist princesses are clearly filling her head, Easson says they are basically optimists, "we look at each other every day and laugh because we know we have something."
The live show takes it a step further adding Dan Aquino(Murder of Lilies, Every Move a Picture) on drums, and Cyrus Etemad on bass. Expect an urban art rock experience punctuated by long eyelashes and torn stockings.
