Description
Charles “Lil Buck” Riley’s fluid, gravity-defying interpretive dance performance of The Dying Swan with Yo-Yo Ma went viral on YouTube after director Spike Jonze recorded it on his cell phone. Since then this master of a style of street dance called Memphis Jook has performed with Janelle Monáe, Madonna—during her Super Bowl XLVI halftime show and on her MDNA World Tour—and with Cirque du Soleil.In a JCCSF exclusive, Lil Buck appears with Jason Yang, an international sensation on the acoustic and electric violin circuit, who also completed the MDNA World Tour as violinist in Madonna's band, with whom he appeared on The Colbert Report.
Performance followed by a conversation with the two artists.
