LOL BOYS, SAMO SOUND BOY, FLOYD CAMPBELL all come together to take over 222 Hyde and if that weren't enough to make you call your mom and beg for mercy, SAMO and LOL BOYS join forces to DJ as the mysterious DJ DODGER STADIUM.

LOL BOYS

The title of the latest EP from Jerome Potter and Marcus Garcia (a.k.a. LOL Boys) offers a fitting one-word description of what to expect from its six tempered tunes. Although the LA- and Montreal-based duo has tackled several styles during its relatively short lifespan, the pair's musical efforts thus far have often been focused on creating party music, while its public persona has emphasized the producers' carefree, fun-loving attitudes. Granted, hints of a more fully formed LOL Boys have trickled in recently with "Moments in Heartbreak" and last year's LOL Boys and LDR EPs, but Changes is perhaps the first truly serious musical statement from a duo that has long flashed a great deal of potential, but whose actual musical output has often been overshadowed by a blog-worthy inception story. - xlr8r


SAMO SOUNDBOY

Samo Sound Boy is a Los Angeles based producer and DJ whose powerful live sets and original productions have brought him to the forefront of today's forward-minded club scene. Having earned his chops DJing at Fugees 99, a Nigerian-owned dancehall in the south end of Buenos Aires, Samo compounded influences picked up there with a love of crunk, club, and Chicago house. The result remains a uniquely rugged but soulful sound of his own. In addition to having released an array of highly acclaimed remixes and original material, Samo started his own label, Body High, with Jerome Potter in 2011. Furthermore, the two partnered together to produce a side project under the name DJ Dodger Stadium. Moving full speed ahead as a producer, DJ, and label head, Samo is only getting started spreading his club aesthetic that Chicago journalist Dave Quam described as: "Weird, banging, and beautiful. Like a shortwave radio recording of all the best stations at once."

FLOYD CAMPBELL

Now living in Venice Beach, Floyd Campbell was born and raised in North Carolina. A Southern youth split between crunk and black metal. From covering Slayer and Megadeth to dissecting Freddie Hubbard and RZA, came a desire to recreate heavy and arresting, rhythmic noise. Later, art school in Baltimore lead to illegal warehouse shows, and an open window into unregulated experimental music.



DJ DODGER STADIUM

DJ Dodger Stadium is a collaboration between Samo Sound Boy and Jerome Potter (LOL BOYS) and is a psychedelic hard-house experience that celebrates the strange and experimental in dance music from the past to the present.
