Saturday Dec 1st we will be hosting the opening reception for Katrina Ruth's new show titled "Life Lessons: 1-24" Now shut up and listen to this; we have a bunch of rad art going on the wall, a bunch of booze for you to drink while you look at it, and DJ Oli will be spinning music that make you feel like a smooth criminal.
About the show.
Hand-drawn, hand-cut, hand-glued, layered pieces of construction paper. Computers are rad, but limiting.
This body of work was inspired by mistakes. It's made up of pieces of advice that I've obtained over the last 24 years. Some I've learned, some I was given, all of it was helpful. The idea was to take something expendable, and create something memorable. Advice can work in the same way. You can choose to either ignore it, or apply it to what you do and change your work entirely.
