Every time you turn around, it seems Les Claypool has a different band or is collaborating with someone new. Truth be told, the bass virtuoso can play with any musician at any time. This time, he’s teamed up with a host of eclectic characters, including Skerik, a saxophonist who has pioneered “saxaphonics,” which is creating sounds with the instrument utilizing one or more electronic effects units. Also, percussionist Paulo Baldi, from Cake fame, also joins the group. This year, the show will feature a contest for the most outrageous headgear.
