Left Bank Brasserie in Menlo Park will host a Filipino Franco dinner on Thursday, July 26 beginning 5:30 p.m. with open seating continuing until 10:00 p.m. The $45.00 prix fixe meal will be served family style with all dishes except dessert brought to the table at once. The restaurant's Chef, Brendy Monsada, has created a menu designed to showcase and celebrate his ethnic heritage. Appetizers will include Inihaw Na Pusit (grilled stuffed jumbo squid, sweet onions, smoked tilapia, vine ripe tomatoes and white rice), Pork Sisig (brined and grilled pork belly and pork ears, mayonnaise and kalamansi juice) and Pork BBQ (pineapple juice marinade, banana ketchup and a chili and sugar cane vinegar dipping sauce). The entrées will be Kalderetang Kambing (slow braised imported goat, kaldereta spice mix, savory tomato sauce, Asian chili and soy sauce), Pork Sisnigang (tamarind spiced braised pork, taro root, Asian long beans, okra, young ginger and daikon radish) and Pancit and Bihon (stir fried rice, bihon noodles in soy, shrimp, snow peas, julienne carrots, bell pepper, green onion and kalamansi). For dessert, diners can enjoy Nilatikan (baked sweet rice, caramel coconut sauce, candied coconut flakes) and Turon (stuffed banana and jackfruit in crispy lumpia wraps).

Non-alcoholic Kalamansi Juice and Mango Punch will also be included with the dinner.
