A veteran sideman of Dizzie Gillespie, Pink Floyd and Steely Dan, Ritenour’s chameleonic artistry has graced literally thousands of recorded works. Best known for his compositional chops, which have earned Golden Globe, Grammy and Academy Award recognition in countless film soundtracks, Dave Grusin is likewise an intuitive soloist with a knack for anthemic crescendos. Expect cathartic understatement with plenty of dazzling transitions when these two masters take to the Kuumbwa stage.
