Friday, February 7th Opel Productions breaks into 2014 with the legendary Lee Coombs at Monarch. After a huge success with New Bohemia NYE we're really excited to see what's in store for Opel in the year ahead. Lee Coombs signature breaks and techfunk sound will fill out one of SF's favorite sound systems in the basement of Monarch. What's techfunk? you ask? We think the easiest way to describe it is as if Techno and Breaks had a love child, full of techy undertones, the full basslines from breaks and alternating from a 4x4 beat to broken and back again. It's deep, it's solid, it's interesting and Lee Coombs is a pioneer with Lot 49 and Thrust Recordings.Filling out the night is Opel founder Syd Gris, SF classic favorite from Friends & Family - Ethan Miller and Opel resident Kimba. Starting at 9pm and going into the late night, there will be no better place to be in the city!
