Description
The Library presents a slide-illustrated lecture by historian and author Tim Thomas on the topic of his newest book The Abalone King of Monterey. Enjoy a little slice of Monterey history. Hear the story of how, in 1908, "Pop" Ernest Doelter transformed rubbery gastropods into an epicurean delight at this Alvarado Street restaurant.
