On Tuesday March 19, at 7 PM, in the Live Oak Senior Center, 1777 Capitola Road, Santa Cruz, the Monterey Bay Chapter of the American Rhododendron Society will feature a program by Mike McCullough on Rhododendron occidentale, the Western Azalea, which can be found in Oregon and California.
Since 1977 Mike McCullough has been interested in the Western Azalea, took part in plant hunting expeditions led by Britt Smith & Frank Mossman, took part in plant hunting expeditions led by Gene German, and this will be his thirty third year of plant cataloging.
In the program you will see the Western Azalea in its habitat ranging from southern Oregon to Santa Cruz County.
