LB Steak in Santana Row Hosts May “Chicks Dig It” Speaker Series

LB Steak in Santana Row in San Jose has announced that it will be hosting the next edition of the “Chicks Dig It” speaker series on Sunday, May 20 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.

The presentation is titled “Chicks Grow It” and the speakers•will be Seana Doughty of Bleating Heart Cheese in Sonoma County and Lisa Gottreich of Bohemian Creamery in Sepastopol, two of the Bay Area’s foremost women artisan cheese makers, who will talk about cheese making techniques, offer recipes and answer cooking questions, along with LB Steak Executive Chef Ryan Ellison.

Guests (men and women) are invited to enjoy appetizers and unlimited house wine with the presentation for $25.00 per person or $40.00 for two people. Advance tickets, which are recommended, can be obtained by calling (408) 244-1180 or emailing to [email protected]. Seats are limited.

The event will include tastings of Bleating Heart and Bohemian Creamery cheeses and the appetizers, which will use the artisanal cheeses, will be Cheese Profiteroles with Bohemian Creamery Boho Belle Cheese; Pizette with roasted tomato, basil, crème fraîche and Bohemian Creamery Capriago Cheese; Herb Grilled Chicken Croque Monsieur with arugula, olives and Bleating Heart Sheperdista Cheese; and a Cheese Plate with fresh strawberry membrillo, toasted spiced pistachio and Bleating Heart Mixtress Cheese.

The “Chicks Dig It” speaker series has been designed to celebrate and empower women working in a variety of food, beverage and dining related industries.
