Description
Laysaphla is puzzling. Are they trying to sound bad on purpose? It’s that’s the case, they have it nailed. Their trance beats are decent enough, but then a nasally, tone deaf voice ruins what could have been an fine musical experience. When they’re not singing (and I use that term loosely), they do what only can be described as rap-talk. But the lyrics are banal and are unenthusiastically delivered. It’s as if they’re bored and want you to be bored as well. Honestly, if Laysaphla just stuck with creating beats it would sound a helluva lot better, because this is hipster art music gone horribly wrong. - Beau Dowling sanjose.comMore Info
